The Municipal Systems Act 32 of 2000 sets out legislation that enables municipalities to enrich their communities by finding sustainable ways to meet their social, economic and material needs. These needs include access to essential services, and therefore, public law deals with all aspects of the relationship between a municipality and a person living or working within the jurisdiction of that municipality.
